'Cumbrian Explorer' update Saturday 21st September

    News from Tyseley: Following a successful main line trial on 22nd August, the Diesel Traction Group's Class 52 No. D1015 will now be the lead locomotive on Vintage Trains 'Cumbrian Explorer' on Saturday 21st September. Tyseley's Class 47 No. 47773 will be included in the consist to provide ETH to the coaching stock.
    The train will set out from Tyseley Warwick Road, picking up also at Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Stafford and Crewe to work northbound over the S&C to Carlisle. After a break, the train will return south around the highly scenic Cumbrian Coast Line. After re-joining the WCML at Carnforth it will set down as outwards to Tyseley.
