    Evening everyone,

A colleague of mine saw 75029 and her tender on two low-loaders on Madingley Road, Cambridge yesterday morning, at about 8.30 am, about to turn onto the southbound M11.
Can anyone say where the loco had come from, and where she was going?

    Very Best Wishes,
    Bob.

Is Ilford like Woking traincare centre? Ie you dont have to drop all the motion and the wheelset. You can turn the tyres with the wheelsets still in place?

I think the above also applies at Wimbledon TC.

most major depots use a ground mounted wheel lathes now, you would probally still have to drop motion but yes the wheel sets are turned in situ.
How long has woking had a traincare depot? i thought that wimbledon was the only major depot in the area ?

Ilfords been used for several steam locomotives over the years... makes a change to just unit's being about the neighbourhood.

Has anyone got any idea when it might be coming back and if it will come back the same route?

    Cheers

    Will
