I've read that the train is starting from Reading (diesel to Bristol) & passengers from Eastleigh/Basingstoke are being bussed to Didcot.

More DBS trouble! No DBS drivers are available for the Eastleigh - Reading section.

    Oh dear...

With 2 steam tours along the Marches this Saturday, it must take quite a few DBS crews to man them, in addition to the diesel section of Pathfinders' tour.

More heavy rain is forecast tonight in Bristol, at least the line out to Wales is OK at the moment, though there were flooding issues near Bristol Parkway.

Departed Hereford circa 11-29 in the pouring rain after a substantial refill from the bowser. Didn't realise it was back in green. Looks just as I remember them in service.

    ...now for the blue one.....

Full credit to the crew of 70000 Britannia this morning at Filton bank. Unbelievable speed and acceleration in atrocious conditions.

    Well done. <BJ>
