2012 Mazey Day Tours

    Two tours ran from Birmingham to Penzance in connection with the Mazey Day events. Deltic 55022 Royal Scots Grey hauled the Mazey Day Cornishman and two class 37s, 37517 and 37676, hauled The Kernow Explorer.

    On the outward run videos were taken near Stoneycombe, on the climb to Dainton Tunnel. On the return, due to inclement weather, 2 short clips on Hemerdon. Not the best filming but a record of the trips.

    I an vouch for the weather Keith, I was at Langstone Rock for the returns as I was working in the morning. It was fairly decent when I got there but by 5 it was horrible, Dawlish Warren was like a ghost town. Ive been there many times in the summer and never seen it so deserted. The carpark had 6 cars on it .....
