Kudos to the fireman and driver tonight, I was stood in the rain at Shawford for nearly 45 minutes waiting (not 45 minutes late - far from it, only a mere 10 down - I just arrived ridiculously early!) and was rewarded with possibly the most spirited run I have seen through there in years. Considering how poor the conditions were out there, this run was exceptional. The only time I have seen a larger exhaust 'cloud' on the GBV, when 34067 partnered (and successfully hid) 70013...

I will upload my video onto YouTube a bit later, I still have some work to do!

Tangmere and Bittern just minutes apart at a wet and windy Chiswick station tonight. Not the greatest quality video but...

Well done Dirty Druid for supporting the MIDDLESEX cause. I'm a Middlesexian(?) in exile.
Nice to see 34067 without a diesel on the back for a change.

Actually I want all the old boundaries back & recognized. I am tired of hearing on t.v. and radio about so and so being in south London or north London. Croydon is in Surrey, Bromley is in Kent, Harrow is in Middlesex and Romford is in Essex, just to name a few of the places, as examples, that are being described as London (with a North, South East or West prefix).

    How odd :noidea:

And you could've been clobbered for an excess fare for travelling to the wrong station by a TTI .....................................

It was good to see Swanage turn out Manston for the empty stock moves; sounded absolutely awesome leaving Swanage without a trace of a slip. Who said Bulleid's don't make noise?!

Who said anything about a fight :fencing: :argue: :boxing: I didn't!

Somebody obviously 'moved' the county boundaries to suite their needs, and didn't bother to tell anybody else, but it is still wrong.

Fact is there are TWO Ashfords in the South East (that I know of) - One in Kent and one in MIDDLESEX, NOT Surrey - you ask anybody who lives in Ashford MIDDLESEX which county their town is in and the will say MIDDLESEX :director: END OF!!!!!

That is absolutely true ... except that nobody lives in Ashford MIDDLESEX as it doesn't exist!

Anyway, it's effectively part of London anyway, so the county is irrelevent.

I've been a bit busy with other matters over the past couple of days so have only just got round to uploading my snaps of 'Oliver Cromwell' onto Flickr. There are three pictures and if anyone is still interested here's the first one :

Clicking on the picture will enlarge it and take you to the others.

Hope that they are still of interest.
