With the overhaul progressing well details of the locos new livery are now on 5542 - The Planet's Favourite Prairie

 

I am reminded of Mr. Ridley's The Ghost Train:

Contrary to earlier information supplied by information Lirpa Loof the white paint will be hidden once the loco is complete - keep watching 5542 - The Planet's Favourite Prairie , all will be revealed soon!

 

The tanks have now been refitted details on 10 Year Overhaul , photos will be added soon.

It appears she's moved on quite a bit since I had a look on saturday. Well done for the good progress won't be long before she's running in

We have a contract with the Gloucestershire/Warwickshire Railway From early June until New Year 2013.

The fire has been lit to slowly warm 5542's boiler ready for the steam test on Friday, full story and photos of the overhaul on 10 Year Overhaul

 

The boiler insurance steam test has been passed today, 213 days into the overhaul.

 

Congratulations! Very much looking forward to seeing her at Winchcombe (and Toddington!)

Thanks, Chris. We're quite pleased and looking forward to getting back in action. A few more 'bits and bobs' to finish off over the next couple of weeks, and then we'll be fully fit and ready to go.
