Times are up for this trip here t0324c.htm.

Its still listed as 34067 hauling this train but there is no LE working showing on UKSteam for her going from Carnforth to Southall so could 44932 be hauling this trip instead. I'll be heading out to see this at Haywards Heath before heading for the Mid Hants Spring Gala.

I think this is possibly the last Three Bridges to Bristol train as I can't find anymore listed on the RTC website or UkSteam and there are 2 Three Bridges to Weymouth trips pencilled in for later in the year.

If 34067 makes it I'll be able to catch 2 Spam Cans in one day (as 34007 should be in steam at the MHR) or if its 44932 then it'll be 2 Black Fives in one day (as 45379 should also be in steam at the MHR) which is quite nice.

44932 is listed for this tour in the text on the RYTC website. I shall be out before heading off to the Mid Hants Gala, probably starting around Balcombe.

2 Black 5's it is then which isn't bad. Still I haven't had much luck when seeing 44932. The first time she failed at Redhill and the second time my camera missed her as she went through the station so third time lucky hopefully.

I'll probably see this then get the train upto Clapham Junction then wait for the Alton train to get to the MHR to see 45379.

Thanks for that. I suppose they could attach one at Salisbury but there doesn't look to be time in the schedule. Any idea of the load?

There's a whole thread on that. Just a query on today's trip really.

Saw her arrive late at Haywards Heath but she left on time. Good to see no diesel though.

44932 through Keynsham 28 late at 17:13. I do not profess to be an expert on the subject, before anyone shoots my head off, but the general opinion was that the loco did not sound very healthy. <BJ>

Didn't sound healthy at Upton Scudamore but made it to the top. Delays due to and earlier lineside fire between Warminster and Dilton Marsh.

    Video later.
