Britannia, repainted into Brunswick green with white cab roof, hauled the royal Train into Wakefield Kirkgate at 10.10am today, before Prince Charles alighted to perform its renaming ceremony.

Click on the 'View ceremony gallery' link and you'll find that same mistake again
You'll also find that her number is apparently now 7000 - that mistake is on two separate photos.

    Very poor proof reading :(

Unfortunately a triumph for first to run the story , without actually making sure the story was correct

Do we need three threads on this subject? I know it makes the point that R Jones didn't read the other threads before posting, but I suggest this one is merged in with one of the others, to keep things neat.

Perhaps merge this one with the other one in Steam Traction and leave the one in Main Line as a record of the run and it's date?

    Regards,

    Dan

Or leave it totally separate and simply discuss the quality of the reporting by HR and the pathetic standards set by this. Oh for the return of Railway W.orld.

Initial location error appears to have been corrected now. Wakefield gets back its magnificent station! Sheffield heaves a sigh of relief.

Even the title of this thread ... Princes !

I'm afraid to say the whole story reflects badly on the writer and the magazine
