If so then its a fabulous bit of publicity for them as Danny Macaskills videos are some of the most watched on Youtube and usually get at least 10 million views ! Its bound to bring loads of attention.

Perhaps National preservation should put up a prize for the first person here to succesfully replicate Danny's trick with the rail crane ? ;-)

Does anyone know what the plans are for the rolling stock etc that is shown on that footage...... they could well be worthwhile restoring

In answer to the question on plans for the stock....well the plan is restore what we can but with only about ten active volunteers, it feels like we are struggling to stand still let alone make progress. Most of the stock in the video had lain at the groups old site at Minnivey, for many years and has only fairly recently been recovered to the site. Unfortunately anything left at the old site was taken by scrap metal theives before we could arrange another possession of the Scottish coal line up the valley. Losses include an entire Ruston NG diesel loco and a standard gauge hunslet which has been reduced to just a cab and gearbox!

So if you are in the area come and say hi and see what we are achieving, if you want to come and help then you would
    Be very welcome.

    Cheers

    Gareth
