SVR Autumn Steam Gala on 23 -25 September 2011

Does anybody know why 5029 has pulled out? It seems that GWR 4-cylinder engines are rebelling against this ASG! However, 4160 will be a nice addition to the line-up.

Can someone confirm which of the SVR's home fleet are running?

 

7812, 42968, 46443, 43106, 2857, with 4566 as spare and 5164 as a possible spare but it's due to have some much needed work done on it around the time of the Gala.

The WSR's 4160 is now also attending, presumably to replace 5164 ?

The post on the last page clearly stated 4160 is 5029's replacement. :smile:

 

Now know Bewdley is £2.50 a day, but when would I have to get a new ticket as I'm planning on parking there all 3 days? Is there no possibility of buying a 3 day ticket on the friday?

Also is 4160 just simply slotting in on 5029 diagrams?

 

So 4160 will be working the Dining train sunday. Oh well I'm sure there's another train to grice lol

Is Kidderminster museum open 24/7 again?

 

Any news yet for the directions any of the locos are facing? (home fleet or visiting)

With the SVR, there's no guarantee until the Thursday evening! However, I shall be travelling the line next Thursday, and will post up a hopefully complete list then. I know it'll be short notice but at least it will be accurate!

 

Locos should face (in accordance with the writing of the WTT):

South facing (i.e. towards Kidder)

I'm unsure as to which way 43106 is facing at this current moment in time (that's if she's even back from the NNR yet) but my hope is for her to face North...
