Owing to an error in moving the posts referring to the proposed double headed Kings run 10th March next year from this thread to a new one relating to that tour, is appears that some have been lost in cyberspace. Attempts will be made to recover them.

Event of the century? I think that for GWR fans, that title still rests with the non-stop Bristolian for sheer organisational daring and problem-solving. This is, however, a welcome chance to celebrate the expansion of the 60XX fleet.

According to Railway Herald, there was an occasional double-King turn on the route in GWR days, but on the up line.
