The gist of this evening's update is that 70013 will have it's washout and new brick-arch built this weekend. Therefore, although it will haul tomorrow's CE, it will NOT run the CME on Saturday. 5305 will deputise. Ollie will now move to York on the afternoon of Mon 29th, ready for the SSE on Tues 30th. I infer from this that 5305 will work the Mersey Moorlander on Monday.

Looks like you might need wellies and raincoat today rather than bucket and spade!

I was onboard all day yesterday and had a super run. We left York about 15 mins late both times on the outward run but still arrived at Scarborough 5 mins early. With the FTP rail strike we had the whole Scarborough line to ourselves pretty much too which was slightly odd, didn't see another train! Will upload some photos over the next couple of days.

Superb run to Scarborough behind the black five and the weather is hot and sunny. Looking forward to the return run.

Just like to thank those from the 5305LA for working through the holiday to turn out 70013. She made a fine sight (and sound!) today.

It certainly blew the cobwebs away from Wakefield yesterday, a VERY sure footed start out of Westgate and then the long climb, you could hear the bark echoing all over Wakefield. Great sound, fine machine, well done and thank you to the guys who put the graft in over the weekend.:clap2:
