Ah so that explains why 5305 is doing the Moorlander next Monday, and I guess the CME on Saturday.

Nice Austin and well worked out for the 4 locations, pity about the weather at Abergele, notice how half the photographers were already dashing off the platform almost before Ollie had passed them....

Thanks Ralph, almost gave up after Abergele as I was absolutely soaked but decided seeing as I'd come that far....

Was told tonight about the poor steward who was left behind at Frodsham Station on the return leg....Dont know if Ralph can confirm this but I felt sorry for the chap who I beleive was doing a stirling job making sure the people watching weren't tresspassing at the bottom of the platform ramp....when the train left without too much of a warning, But he managed to rejoin the train at Crewe thanks to an onlooker giving him a lift!!!

Don't know anything about it, I was not involved with that run.

I saw the steward on Frodsham station. I thought he didn't board the train because he lived locally and was leaving the train there! I was obviously mistaken.
