Well it is a lovely day here in south Lancs, temperature presently in single figures and very still so the exhaust from 6201 should be visible and looking forward to seeing some photos and vids posted later. I am working this morning so I won't get out to see todays run.

Latest news I have is that all is ok and they departed Crewe at 7.11am.

    Neil.

Watering at Denton at the moment, saw a familiar face at Crewe with the support crew, a certain Mr Bill Andrew. to quote another member "You can't keep a good man down"..

After the delays near Castleford due to cable thefts, the water stop was completed very quickly resulting in an early getaway, however held at York for due time departure.

Well if I'd known I was being filmed at Diggle I'd have waved!

Thanks for posting that Chris and a different view from the Diggle area.

Are you in the gallery at around 3mins 30secs Stuart or in the field at around 3mins 20secs?

    Thanks again, Neil.

I wonder if the TransPennine strike on the 26th will affect the timetable? The run through Mirfield is always slow, it would be nice to see a bit more speed if this is possible.

Agreed, if only any improvement is not promptly knocked back elsewhere.

A bit quicker through Mirfield today............it was all happening......a 66 on "bulk train" (not too familiar with modern practice) and a Transpennine as the strike action has been suspended. There was also a pw crew with a gent with a flag and mouth horn.................which cleared my ears out. PE looked superb as usual and the SF seemed full......hope the weather clears up for Scarborough......

Looked and sounded good leaving Huddersfield this morning. As the weather was so poor I thought I'd try a shot from one of the hills overlooking Huddersfield. The exhaust hung in the air for quite a way, would've looked good on video.
