Incident in the Christchurch area caused a late arrival according to SWT staff. Engine took coal at Weymouth before heading off to yeovil.

That is correct. The blood and custard set travelled from Poole - Bristol - Warminster behind Britannia and then continued to Poole behind 59.203.
Up until now the Rainbow Set appears to be the standard rake for all Steam Dreams / Tornado rail tours. <BJ>

'Rainbow set' - I like it!

Glad to find there was nothing seriously wrong. A driver would have more than enough firing experience to keep the fire ticking over and maintain the water levels
while she was being towed btw.

Many thanks for the explanation. I was ready and waiting to take photos at Chiswick at around 0911 yesterday and was puzzled to see what appeared to be a steaming Tornado turn up on time but with the diesel at the front.

I've been critical of DBS with what i see as a 'half arsed' attitude towards charters in the past, but in these circumstances it's difficult to see what else they could of done, they got a Fireman to the trip as quickly as possible so all was not lost, it's not as if another TOC could of done any better, there's no exactly a depot of Fireman on 'spare' turns around the corner anymore.

That's a lovely glint/backlit shot by the way Owen.
