This is my footage of 44932 from today at Bell Busk and Selside Shaw and I must say a big sorry for the poor sound quality . Stevehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gddACA4bfds

Ralph has written elsewhere of the woes of 6201 this morning, which meant that the CME was hauled throughout by a WCRC Class 47. So the only glimpse of steam I got today was the arrival of the Waverley at Carlisle just after 2 pm behind Stanier Class 5 No 44932. Shortly afterwards, we returned to the joys of diesel haulage over the S&C.

I missed lizzies run also this morning but at least I saw the message on here about the derailment and saved me a journey. But the need for steam had me driving upto Arnside to catch the returning "Lakelander" followed by a dash to Ribblehead for "The Waverley" which promtly arrived after about 15 mins wait A leisurly drive then to Hellifield had me capturing it leaving a couple of mins early.

8 pictures from here of both tours - http://www.steamingnorth.com/displayimage.php?album=36&pid=4127#top_display_media

    Hello all

Please see my two contributions from Saturday's Waverley.

Unfortunately the weather could have been nicer, but as can be seen, you dont always need to have good weather to have a good time.

44932 at Horton in the morning sounded fantastic in the distance on the approach, and passed us in great style. It resembeled something like a photo charter along with a lovely long whistle over ribblehead viaduct once we'd caught the tour back up!

Was a great last day to my holiday.

    Cheers,

46115 planned for 20/8 according to Mr Dobbing. Seats may still be available for this classic S+C run!

The Waverley on the 20th, this Saturday appears to be the last one according to UKSteam due to engineering works?

Tickets arrived the other day. Were boarding in Leeds. No pick-up stops for the people in Shipley or Keighley they are advised to go by service train to Leeds or Skipton. Their fare paid by RTC.

NR's inability to path stops at Shipley and Keighley seemed rather odd when I travelled on The Waverley a couple of weeks ago - we left Leeds a couple of minutes down and arrived in Skipton about ten minutes early!
