    The now unique Clayton class 17 completed a successful test run on the 12th of March at the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway. It is expected to resume public running on the 29th and 30th of April.

    Excellent. Only seen it once before, on the NYMR in April 1989. It worked shuttles from Grosmont to Goathland top and tail with an 04, on a Mk1 and a Pullman! I seem to remember snow flurries....

    Is it running on both lungs now? The oly time I ever got on both was way back in Ribble livery on the NYMR. Seem to remember it sounded hellfire going up to Goathland!

    So either the 1230 was very late, or you indulged in a bit of time travel as well! Nice! Seriously, though, looking forward to my first encounter with the clayton for 22 years sometime soon! Is it likely to visit any other railways this year?
