I think we are actually nit picking in a tongue in cheek way. If it hadn't been mentioned no one would have noticed..

And I've counted a good few times and am now certain there is one less rivet than there should be on the loco!

Some nice pics and footage there.....Thanks to all for sharing :)

Just one query.....I was staying in Dawlish and saw the steam come through on Sat. morning. Kept my eyes peeled for the 47 hauled return but never saw it. Only had times for Plymouth departure and Exeter arrival, just wondered if it ran roughly to time.

    Cheers Simon

I can but marvel at the dedication and stamina needed to undertake such a trip. I hope I speak for all those of us unable to go out and see the tour this year by saying thank you for posting your coverage.

Some fantastic video Mark, from a fantastic week. Many thanks.

Better late then never, but have only just managed to get a selection of pics uploaded from the tour after a busy week with work.

Please see pics uploaded into a set to scroll through.

My dedication is nothing compared to that of those who keep the locos and train running. I have already said this but if it werent for Nigel,RTC,WCRC and all the loco crews there wouldnt be anything to film and also to the passenger's for going on it!

Did GB3 as a pax so wanted to do something different now im driving so decided on linesiding it :)

Wasn't too big an effort really just requires a lot of concentration, alright knowing what you are doing at the wheel, its other people that need to be watched out for!

Again, thanks for the comments and my thanks to all involved in the operation!

Oh and cheers to Oli for doing the filming whilst I was driving and geniuninly keeping morale up all week, never a dull moment!

    Cheers,
    Mark

We're all beginning to look forward to 2012's GBV, so here's a tail-piece for last year's tour. Rather late, I know, but I've just finished a DVD covering GB IV, and posted a couple of clips on YouTube as a taster. I've chosen a couple of double-headers from opposite ends of the country.

    44871 & 45407 leaving Tain; 45305 & 70013 at St Germans.
4492 on Stoke Bank is still on line, too.
