Went to Clapham Junction for the 35028 VSOE today - no show from 1252 to 1315 - anyone know the story, please? No sign of it at Victoria on the way back to town, either.

    35028 ClanLine VSOE Feb 18th....Swish!

Gosh, anyone hanging around today in the Hounslow/Staines area was in for a surprise...ClanLine caught everyone on the hop by being 20 mins early.
Nobody in position beforehand might as well forget it-it's GONE!

Mark you I did hear two people on a platform say, nice to see something of class go through in todays doom and gloom, talking no doubt about the news and mortgage repayments.

A friend text me from Staines bridge saying it went through 13.20 ( 12mins early )

I saw her rolling through Guildford on time behind the Gatwick Turbo.

Clan Line passed through Woking at 1404, precisely on time on the down slow. Looked as good as ever and a nice blast on the whistle .

Good to see no diesel on the back which is unusual these days. Clearly the generator was doing its job!

Today's VSOE schedule allowed no less than 31 minutes to reach Clapham Jc from Victoria. Obviously this wasn't needed, and instead of waiting near Longhedge Jc (as it sometimes does), it ran early through Clapham Jc and Staines. I guess that it would probably have waited later at Addlestone Jc to get back on schedule through Woking.

Yes, we did have a wait at Addlestone Jc as you supposed. The whole run was good and the lunch was super. A few pics for you all for inside for a change

Gosh, that brings back some memories. I once treated myself to a trip on the Queen of Scots from Leeds. I distinctly remember how smooth riding those Pullman cars were.
