Does anyone know whats happened to the private charter, Hellifield - Carlisle and return on Sept 28th. It was listed on steam tours but has been removed. Is it cancelled or has someone 'had a word'

An educated guess, Roger Hardingham (kingfisher railtours) is behind it and it is a day out for some of the employees of Howsons joinery company. He has done this job for them for a year or two. Hardingham has been in contact with those that used to steward on the Dalesman for him about stewarding this job. There is no wonder it has been removed after the Kingfisher fiasco in 2008 and passengers and businesses alike still owed thousands. In typical style it is doubtful if the elusive Hardingham will be onboard, probably due to fear of being lynched. I was told the Hellifield times if anyone wants them.

Kingfisher??? Sent a chill down my spine! Given the experiences of many, it begs the question as to how this individual is permitted to run tours.

There is more chance of hell freezing over than Hardingham paying up.

Totally agree with the above, i had numerous messages from Mr Hardingham, when i was chasing the £200 owed to me ( still waiting with no sign of any money being returned), i felt at the time a little bit of sympathy for him, BUT now i just wonder if my concerns for him were just a little bit misplaced. Would nt go and see this train now as a matter of principal

Ian Riley reports on intheworks forum the tour is now 48151 as 44871 is off to Scotland to cover for 45231.

Isn't he talking about 'The Weardale' tour in October as that is what the last few posts in the topic are regarding.

nearly, its 48151 for weardale and 44871 to scotland thursday instead of going to NYMR or KWVR after.
I saw 44871 arrive at Carnforth at 4.30pm today .

45231's tyres are down on their uppers and will return to Carnforth soon.

Ian also states that he will make it up to NYMR and KWVR later, presumably for their dissapointment.

this presumably means that 44871 will run tommorow as disappeared.
