Crewelederhosen? I hope 35028 doesn't go native and get an upturned bath for streamlining!

That's almost as bad as that pink photoshopped picture of 34067 that was posted on here a while back...

Actually, I find the liveries in Dan's photo-shopped picture O.K. Perhaps BR should have made maroon the standard Express Loco Livery rather than the Green they adopted.

(Runs for cover to the nearest nuclear bunker:target::rolleyes1:)

I like it too - especially striking on the A4, maybe that's just because we've seen Olton Hall and Taw Valley done like that already. Time for a repaint of Bittern!

Watched it go through Tring at about 1147 - 36 mins down. According to the support crew this delay was caused by the diesel on another job! It came through whisper quiet and virtually smokeless doing about 50mph - max restricted speed for the tast run.

As the engine gets further North and the crew start to get a bit twitchy I would like to take this opportunity to say how nice your locos in maroon and black are up North. In fact here's a video of Clan Lines working party watching 'Lizzie' go past Stewarts Lane last March, being extra nice and cheering etc.

NB Please dont take any of our coal whilst its in the yard at the Heritage Centre - Thank-you

Does "northern" coal actually work on a Southern engine?

Can I just point out that the three red locos are not photoshopped. It was a painting done by a reader of Steam World and printed in an early to mid-1990s edition of that publication.

Here's hoping that 35028 is now on the road to recovery.

    Regards,

    Dan

    You 'orrible lot!

And how am I suppose to sleep later tonight with nightmares about all the postings here?

Oh. I know. By counting Bavarian Serving Wenches, an old favourite of mine to help get to sleep, (only Aussies and Welshmen count sheep at night!).
