Had a brilliant weekend (even if i got on and off at Exeter, well i got off at Plymouth on the way back for an extra lineside shot!),a brilliant performance from both locos and such superb weather made it even better!

Thanks and congrats to everyone involved!

Had some super laughs along the way too, anyone seen any Puma's anywhere?!? What about Fred Dibley knocking down the Westbury cement towers? Or even the cream teas and plates that were supposed to remain at Bodmin General going for a ride to Parkway! Then the horror of a pair of 153's turning up on the train to Penzance! Oh dear............

Anyway, once again thanks for a great weekend.

Will finish uploading my fots/vids tomorrow (well, start with the vids anyway!)

For now, here are my 2 fairly poor photos from the lineside, the Totnes one is a bit skewed as i was using one hand for the video camera, and the Stoke Canon one was in poor light, mainly went for the vid :)

Yet another fantastic weekend behind steam with two well turned out locos on a a fitting route for GW175 with consistantly beatuifull weather. What more could we have all asked for.

A great achievement on the sunday to run with same locos over the full distance of line between Penzance - Paddington. A huge well done to all involved!!

Thanks to all with the laughs and hilarious comments over the three days. With the 153 unit turning up, it was probably for the best that we missed the world cup on way back to Penzance ay Mark?

As standard was on rear on Monday, decided to do a bit of linesiding with Mark...so thanks for recomending locations and giving us a lift to Stoke Cannon which i will post tomorrow.

Please find link of shot taken at Totnes balancing on a bust swivel chair. At least it didnt totally colapse!!

You can see why they were called iron horses from the sound. Pure joy!

    Eh up all !!

Finally got round to sorting my video of this epic tour after a cracking fortnight in Cornwall. Sarahs finally forgiven me for waking the family up early on the first day of our hols to stand on Penzance sea wall for 2 hours !
Its probably not one for you purists out there, had to dub a bit of music in to cover a load of talking about someones decorating chores when he got home, but a bit of "Pirates" seemed appropriate ! Please also forgive me for the ending, i have a bit of a soft spot for the old Sikorsky S61 thats been in the skies over Penzance since 1964 !
    Anyhow, heres the clip !
