Anyone know where Tornado is attached to the train, Victoria, Clapham, Kensington O or Willesden? Thanks.

I believe the changeover is being made at Acton Main Line. However timings for this trip and Sunday 16th. Spitfire with 70013 to Faversham seem hard to come by UK Steam has not, as yet, posted them, I am sure they will soon - but in the interim if anyone out there has any ideas on outline times they would be much appreciated.

It says on the Pathfinder website that confirmed timings are available, but I can only see outline times for the pick-up points.

That link may not work later, I believe they're changing their website today. As for the Spitfire, times are available via Shepherd Neame's site. I'll make a new thread about that.

Thanks, I see UKSTEAM has Acton Main Line shown as location of Tornado joinuing train. Exactly where is that? Is it at the station 'Action Main Line' or a siding nearby? Hopefully times and light engine moves will be up soon. Quite curious of the route Tornado will make to get there. Cheers

The following should get you into Multimap's "Birds Eye" section. "Grab" the image with the mouse left button and move the image rightwards [revealing sidings to the West] from Acton Main Line station: http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=ac...ilway station|Acton Main Line Railway Station. Aerial photos from low flying aircraft are easier to see than satellite images.
http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t10/t0515b.htm - Not sure if Tornado is tender first all the way or has time to use a triangle somewhere en-route.

Times, including light engine moves, now up at the ever reliable U.K. Steam. What would we do without it?

Indeed, so good to have the light engine movements as well. One question, why would they need to run Tornado at the back of the train to Willesden so it can run light back to Hither Green? Would it not be easier to run it light from the buffers at Victoria without the rest of the train. Or is it that the support coach would get in the way running light engine backwards. Or is it needed for banking? If they are not dropping off passengers at Victoria what is the need to go there in the first place?

I think you have hit the nail on the head regarding the support coach - and having a member of DBS staff on hand to do the job.

I suppose it gives Bristol passengers the option of getting off at Victoria, catching the 20.30 FGW train ex-Paddington and being back in Temple Meads at 22.15, half an hour before the tour gets to Basingstoke (the first advertised set-down point) and 2 1/2 hours before it finally gets back to Bristol at 00.41!

9 mins early through Shortlands, running very well, totally clear road ahead which should have lasted at least to Sevenoaks.

Shot of it earlier from a footbridge just beyond Shortlands Station. It took me 4 attempts to find a suitable location due to the sun not being in a good position, not knowing which line it was on, etc.
