    Hi there,

Just in case anybody was interested, there are two main ways to get news and updates from the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway. The railway is entering into it's 10th year and will be pushing towards opening the line to Duffield in April 2011. There are many interesting things happening this year including a DMU gala and a steam gala with the unveling of a new steam locomotive.

Each day, the Duty Manager puts out a 'progress report' onto the Yahoo group and anybody can sign up to this at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wirksworths_railway/

Also the railway have a newsletter system in place and periodically release e-newsletters directly to e-mail. These are quite good because they include much more detailed and reflective accounts on what is happening and sometimes reveal exciting goings on. Again, anybody can sign up for this at http://www.e-v-r.com/newsletter/signup.htm and you are not too late for the January 2010 edition which will be sent out sometime in the next week or so.

    Cheers and Happy New Year!
