    Thanks for sharing a colour shot of this rare bird, did this machine ever get used for revenue earning service on the WCML, I do not recall ever seeing a shot of it at work? I copped it on a shed visit to Longsight in 1961, but remeber it looked unused then. Harold.

    The loco was modified purely for driver training and - as far as I recall - it never worked a revenue earning service whether freight or passenger - but I am open to correction.
