D4 almost ready for its 50th anniversary

    D4 is looking fantastic in Swanwick paint shop as it is put back into BR green.

    D4 will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the MRC over the weekend of 26th and 27th September.

    Thanks for sharing these photos, railway. D4 is looking great. Although mainly a steam enthusiast, I have soft spots for Peaks, Whistlers, Hydraulics and Deltics.
    It seems hard to believe this locomotive is already fifty years old.
