This is great news - well done to all the guys and girls who have worked through what must have been frustrating times. I hope the King will make up for lost time in the second half of 2009. Hope she manages to visit Paddington before the year is out.

West Somerset Superpower. 6024 has just piloted 2-8-0 3850 into Minehead on the 3-29pm service train arrival. 6024 now being coaled.

    46118

Update: The 2-8-0 is now on shed, with the "King" on the 4-05 pm departure, loco facing smokebox to Bishops Lydeard.

I was at BL today and watched them go off then wondered with all the power available what would the two locos be able to pull weight wise.

They made a wonderful noise going off

A few of my photographs of 6024 KING EDWARD I working at the "Mini"-Gala yesterday on the West Somerset Railway, are now available for viewing on my fotopic site. I was lucky enough to be allowed onto her footplate for some cab photos \:D/ . Enjoy. Link; http://preservedrailwaylocomotivephotos ... topic.net/

As for 34046 BRAUNTON, I was infomed at Williton that there is nothing wrong with her just that she is due a routine wash-through. =D> Any further information I was unable to get as I was on a leaving train, talking to one of the station staff. :-k

    Best regards SteamHawk216.
