SVR Diesel Gala 2009

This years gala will see the same as 2008’s with an all diesel service on both October 8th and 9th. Saturday 10th will have two steam paths.

Visitor locomotives including

37275, Barrow Hill
26007, Barrow Hill
47580,
Virgin Trains 57,
Plus a special first in preservation run of a celebrity loco.


Will join the home fleet of

D821,
Class 52’s D1013 & D1062
D8188,
37906,
Class 50’s 50044 & 50135,
73006,
DMU.

Mk 2 coaches are being hired in for the Class 56 & 57. The class 08 Shunters after proving popular again will be making 3 round trips between Kidderminster and Bewdly on both the Thursday and Friday.
Full colour working timetables and information booklets of the home fleet loco’s will be available with proceeds going towards the Diesel Depot project.

Great looking gala. When are we likely to be able to buy copies of the working timetable and information booklets ?

 

On the day is most likely unless we get a mailing version out too. This is something that i have got to work on!

 

It has been reported elsewhere that 20 059 will be participating, can anybody shed any further light on this ?

 

20059 has now joined the SVR fleet, It requires a little bit of fettling up and a repaint. Hopefully it will be available for duty over the diesel gala weekend.
