The van which is mostly new is back at Holt after a lengthy restoration at SOLD Lowestoft (Special Objectives for Local Disabled).
The finish is fantastic and really stands out. I don't think it's going into traffic though [-(

Fantastic! Looks exactly as you would expect a Coleman's wagon to look.

I think it's staying where it is for the foreseeable future to incise people into the William Marriott museum.

that looks exellent thanks for the pics, have yet to see it in person as having been TTI or riden on a train up to holt since it returned.....

I belive it will be on display at Holt outside the museum along with the pigen van and Esso tanker and one or two other wagons which once restored etc will be put on display here to represent a goods yard...
I also think (not sure though) that it will be swapped about with the pigeon van with displays etc inside it :)

not sure why NNR has stuck those two grotty BR carriages awaiting overhaul/restoration there though (seen in the last pic) - they look awful ](*,) #-o

I was told the reason for this, cant remember it now though #-o but I do remember thinking at the time it seemed a good enough reason to not run it...

The carriages are there to provide a sound break to cut down the noise of the gallopers to avoid upsetting the neighbours.
I think it was part of the planning arrangement.
Unfortunately there isn't really anything else which can be used at the moment so grotty carriages it is.

the only thing NNR had (and judging from the pics needs todo) is apply the roof canvas :)
