    Evening,

I don't suppose anyone in the know might be able to tell me which steam locos are running on Saturday?

    Thanks

    Andrew

Next weekends loco roster (26th/27th) now shows 6880 and 45110 as the two steam in use. The weekend is also the Gwsr’s model railway event with over 40 layouts due to be dotted around the railway. As well as the two steam, diesels class 20, 37 and 47 will be in use at some point each day. Special timetables in operation so please check the railways website.

Our 2026 Mixed traction gala is just over a week away, Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October, and timetables have now been released Mixed Traction Extravaganza - Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway A busy event as ever with lots going on. One of the last appearances of 45110 before it leaves our metals so well worth a visit just for that - we don't know what's happening with it afterwards so make the most of it whilst you can.
The whole steam fleet is out over the weekend, along with a selection of our diesel fleet over the 2 days, including the bubblecar. The highlight as ever will be the goods train out and about - look out for some TV cameras pointing at our newest addition at some point too! As ever it really helps us if you're planning to attend if you pre-book beforehand :)

No I do not currently volunteer
I will probably attend next weekend, my first visit for years but I would never pre-book without a substantial discount being offered, just in case something happens (car breaks down etc) and I can't make it. Are the fares in the website the same for in advance and on the day purchases?
