    Can't recall if the rails will be welded up into CWR.

    No, the rails are not being welded up into long lengths of CWR, What we are doing is welding pairs of C60ft rails into pairs so as to produce C120 feet long rails. Therefore half the number of fishplates and so joint maintenance. That follows the practice adopted at K&ESR on the Northiam - Bodiam section of the line in 2000 and which has worked well.
