The Imperial Frontier, & Fox & Edwards Flying Scotsman tour. Crewe, York & Scarborough 16/9/26

    Yesterday i had a very long day out visiting Crewe, York & Scarborough to see the Diesel Hauled The Imperial Frontier with 37401 Mary Queen of Scots & 37402 Oor Wullie,

    and the introduction of Fox & Edwards onto main line steam tours with 60103 Flying Scotsman

    Fox and Edwards are well known around the preserved steam railway circuit organising numerous events, but this is their 1st time onto the main line, and with 60103 Flying Scotsman no less!!, using Vintage Trains as operator and supplying coaching stock & class 37
    The tour was split into 2 separate parts, In the morning diesel hauled from Derby to York behind 37240, and return with Flying Scotsman in the evening. Then a separate tour York-Scarborough-York with Flying Scotsman in the afternoon, thereby getting 2 bites of the cherry!!
