I see that it is not possible to purchase tickets online. Bewdley is not listed in the drop down menu. upload_2026-9-1_11-7-49.png

There's been problems adding it to the online booking system apparently. You can buy from WMR booking offices and from WMR revenue staff, some of whom are going to be at Bewdley in the morning this week.

Seems to be on there now. It's listed as Bewdley S.V.R (BEW)

Although it took me to the LNWR website which did not recognise Bewdley, neither does the SWR booking site as a random selection.

The WMR website still isn't recognising at the moment.

I can't find any information on how this is funded and who is providing the funding. Surely expecting volunteers to crew the train, signalboxes etc is not sustainable long term and once you have to pay for these as well as maintenance and upkeep of the unit, thre BCR will drop through the floor making the business case unsustainable. What is the long term plan, does anyone know?

If I remember what I have read elsewhere it was a franchise commitment, so may it is WMT funded, though is that now government owned? In terms of long term plan, is there one, I thought this was a trail to see how many people used it? Then I'd imagine you see if it is popular enough to work with the various funding versus passenger figures?

It is funded through the WMRE. It’s a really joined up, collaborative scheme which is designed to test the water. There’s no loser in it at all. SVR get paid to run it as a contract job, so can’t lose. WMRE fund it, and get the data needed to prove the concept or prove it doesn’t work. WMR complete a commitment of their franchise. So everyone ticks good boxes.

This just popped up on my youtube feed and is well worth a watch for those that haven't found it yet. Very educational and informative, and very well presented.
