Don't quote me as I can't be bothered to check properly, but I thought I saw a comment on FB that the paint had to be removed to get it to go on!

The date of the Convention had been set for Saturday 3rd October and Covenantors have been advised of this in The Communication Cord. This event was aimed at Club members and supporters and does not replace the Convention in any way. The aim is to hold more of these gatherings as assembly accelerates, as an exclusive reward for supporters of relevant Clubs as their component(s) is/are fitted.

David Elliott prescribed 'wet assembly' to reduce corrosion.

"Wet assembly"....but paint a no no. Having met Mr Elliott I would think he would be horrified at the use of paint.
