Worth turning up just to see that lot, let alone any visitors!

Really happy with this one and big thanks to the IoW for allowing it, and the MHR for sharing it with us. Makes the costs much smoother to swallow with multiple parties.

41313 is my favourite of the Ivatt tanks. It'll be nice to see it again

Ditto (I last saw it at the ESR in 2017). Its first appearance on the SVR; 41421 and 41312 have visited before.

9681 will be our 2nd guest locomotive, courtesy of the DFLG and DFR. A huge thanks to the guys at the DFLG for this who’ve been superb to deal with.

9681 has very rarely left the DFR, perhaps a handful of times in its life at best. Certainly one of its last recorded visits that we can find, was to visit Llangollen between late 1996/early 1997, so to get its first visit away in roughly 30 years is a lovely moment.

I think they stated in their members magazine a few years ago that they wouldn't be entertaining 9681 visiting any other railways so you've done well to prise it away from the Forest!

An excellent copp and will look forward to seeing it at the valley!

There are photos of it at the West Somerset in May 1998, so this may well be the last time it went elsewhere. Either way still getting on for 30 years!
