    Railways and a lot of people. The heritage railway movement has come a long way since I took this picture at Haworth in April 1967. Unfortunately so have the health and safety busy bodies.

    In a more deferential age a PW gang stand to attention as the Royal Train passes by. A bulled up 47557 passes Chaloners Whin Junction just south of York on 12/11/1981. The then ECML swings off to the left through what is now a Tesco Retail store.
