LE movements, ECS and test runs 2026

Not sure if its linked to this but LSL have some 20's running around the coast to Sellafield today and then back and forth between Barrow and Sellafield tomorrow?

 

LMS 48151 Seen passing Starricks Farm this morning + archive mobile phone footage of what we've been missing again from Starricks Farm.

 

More likely to be route learning/retention for the Three Peaks Special next Friday round the coast to Ravenglass

You're probably right, I suspect its going to be quite the PITA to run that having to reverse at Ravenglass/Sellafield then faff at Carnforth to head north again, I hope its still possible for those dong it to hit the 24 hour target!

 

48151 at Bentham and Paley Green Lane

 

Quite a bit of slack in last year's schedule - left Ravenglass (heading north) at 1930 but didn't reach Craigendoran Jn until 0047. Fort William booked arrival was 0425 - and in the end was nearly an hour late.

 

Nice to see 'Little Legs' back out on the main line!

 

BR Class 7MT No. 70000 Britannia passes through Hartford on a test run from Crewe to Carnforth on Wednesday 17th June 2026. Its train consists of a motley collection of coaches and vans with a pair of class 20s on the rear.

Thanks both. Very nice, personally I’d have preferred 70000 as the Brits were regulars on the line, but I’m sure the paying passengers will be very happy which is what matters.
