    Found on Real Times trains a bizarre movement that seems to show a LSL loco entering Carnforth Steamtown next week. Seems to only be there briefly but still is very unusual.

    There's a 5Z41 Crewe LSL - Carnforth loops and 5Z44 return that day, both pathed for 60mph. Steam loco going in for turning/watering?

    That's what it looks like. Test run for 70000 perhaps, although why not use the regular Chester paths? Maybe it indicates a thaw in relations between LSL and WCR. If so, that's a welcome development, but I wouldn't count on it. We shall have to wait and see.
