    West Coast 57/0 and stock works down from Carnforth on Tuesday.

    EDIT - reported on WNXX to be 57010.

    Spring Diesel Festival - Additional work for 59001 & 57010

    Due to a shortage of drivers for the Class 56 and the loco being required for other work on Saturday night, the following alterations to the loco workings are required:

    Thursday
    11.05 ex KR - 56049 replaced with 59001.

    Friday
    12.50 ex KR - 56049 as booked.

    Saturday
    08.10 ex KR - 56049 as booked.

    11.05 ex KR - 56049 as booked.

    16.40 ex KR - 56049 replaced with 59001.

    Sunday
    15.00 ex KR - 56049 replaced with 57010.

    This provides additional chances to ride behind both 59001 and 57010.

    Excellent event today.

    It was great to attend a diesel gala, free of:
    • idiots surfing out of windows
    • loud mouthed yobs
    • drunken behaviour
    Today, trains were reasonably loaded but not over-crowded. A good selection of traction despite the rescheduling of the roster. Trains were running around 30 minutes late due to earlier problems with the C set at Bewdley. But overall, a great day thanks to the SVR and well behaved passengers.

    Leaning out that far and posting across social media is a good way of getting the ORR involved.
