Yes a good service if it went to the station which it doesn’t. I have mobility issues and can walk but not far. So for me it’s taxi or don’t go. I am age 81

For those worrying about getting there it’s just been confirmed on the GWSR facebook page the bus link will be running from Cheltenham Spa station to Cheltenham Racecourse station during the gala.

That’s great. The timetable doesn’t say Spa Station though

It doesn’t but the Tesco express in the timetable is literally across the road from the station. Just take the platform 2 exit, cross the road and that is where the bus runs from.

Queens Road tesco express is the bus stop opposite Cheltenham Spa station. Sorry it's taken so long to get out, various complicated reasons I won't go into here, hope that makes some people's days a bit more viable the little blue coffeepot has landed today, it's going to be a busy week on the unloading road, including the arrival of TBC!

Would the 8:30 bus wait a little for passengers who are on the 8:30 arrival from Swindon on the Saturday?

Looks like I'm still walking on the Monday morning then. Might get the bus back in the evening.

Cotswold Festival of Steam Gala Announcement!

''We’re delighted to share that our Signal & Telegraph team will be at Broadway Signal Box during the gala, offering visitors an exclusive opportunity to explore inside.
Take a closer look at the lever frame and even venture underneath into the locking room—a rare behind-the-scenes experience. With the signal box soon to be commissioned for operational use, it’s the perfect time to discover how it all works and watch the trains pass by from a unique vantage point''.

I believe so - I understand discussion has been had with SVR colleagues to talk about Bewdley South - Kidderminster as a comparison.

Opening end of the season, I heard. Needs testing in the low season.
