    On the first day of this year's Dresden steam locomotive festival the wonderful 0-4-4-0 Meyer tank engine 176 was also in steam for a group of British enthusiasts at Radebeul, just on the outskirts of Dresden. This engine is operated by the volunteers of Traditionsbahn Radebeul and runs on the branch line to Radeburg.

    This engine has a matching rake of pre World War I coaches and is in the green livery of the Royal Saxonian State Railways, prior to 1920s railway nationalization in Germany, when the standard red and black livery was introduced for all steam engines.
