It's on the market and open to bookings so, given the cost especially, it's perfectly reasonable in my opinion to discuss it at this time.

Let's hope it's this one, it would make sense for it to be.

I don't think anyone else does either, Harry. I personally think it's good to discuss things early as it can help people make their decision as to whether or not they wish to book this trip or any others for that matter.

The Penzance tour. Perfect route and perfect loco.

Received an email mailshot from SD about a "new route" Ashford to Bath.
So all good, but bearing in mind our ongoing debate about unclear advertising (diesels on the back) makes no mention of it being steam only from West London as per the SD description of the trip. So yes if you drill down in the details it is there, but if the email galvanises folks and they just go to the booking page is this also equally unclear advertising? Plus it may have a diesel on the back as well I suspect.

Given the unfortunate situation with 70000. I wonder which loco will take it's place on the Bath railtour?

I would assume 61306 or 71000 given they are still at Southall I think.

Won't be 71000, that'll be at the SVR from Friday 10th

I completely forgot about that. Oh then it'll be 61306. Unless something else comes down from Crewe which I doubt.

It is entirely Possible they could fix Britannia before the 15th.

I'm personally doubtful especially as it's only returned to base today. It'd need to fixed by Tuesday to make it down to Southall in time. Especially if they've got a stand by loco in the form of Mayflower at Southall I doubt they'll rush it back out but I could be wrong.
