60007’s visit to the NYMR at the end of March has already been announced. The rest of the operating schedule gets updated on the SNGLT website linked here: https://www.sirnigelgresley.org.uk/mob-news.shtml
Another preserved railway visit around October but August/September remains unclear.

Now to speculate as to which galas happening in October could 60007 be attending. What railways with a mainline connection (assuming they won't put her on the back of a lorry) are running in October - Mid Hants? East Lancs?

Probably MHR considering it visited the ELR last year.

August will start with “the Greatest Gathering” in Derby. Then the SRPS trips in Scotland later in August with a return to Aberdeen for the first time since 1974.

Fingers crossed it is the Watercress Line.
If it is it will be a nice reunion with 35005 as the last time 60007 visited Ropley it operated alongside 35005 in BR blue (until CanPac failed).

That is good news. Second A4 to visit 61B since No.9 retired.

Lets hope the A1, A2 & A3 tag along for the trip! :)

A visit to the WSR has been announced.

    Update 24 February 2026:

SNGLT is pleased to inform Members that 60007 will be attending the West Somerset Railway's "Spring Steam Spectacular 2026", from the 1st to the 4th of May. This is the locomotive's first visit to this railway, the longest heritage railway in the country, although it has been based at Bishop's Lydeard for operating Saphos tours to Devon. Details of the gala can be found here: www.west-somerset-railway.co.uk/events/view/spring-steam-spectacular-2026. In addition, 60007 will be operating on the railway from the 3rd to 5th of July this year.

Why not the Bluebell Railway and its annual Gala of Steam event. I attended the one with 60009 Union of South Africa; on that event the A4 proved both popular and competent.

That comment was posted a year ago of which 60007 visited the MHR for their gala. and as 5944 said, 60007 visited Bluebell for two weeks in October 2024
