Here's my footage and snapshots of Flying Scotsman's adventure on the North Warwickshire Line on Valentine's Day. Filmed at Danzey Green and a foot crossing near Bearley Junction. I hope you enjoy it.

So, it looks like four trips to Dorridge and then one to Whitlocks End. Another nail in 75 mph claim is there is restrictions at Olton and Tyseley.

I think we all expected this to drop into the Polar Paths which have been proven to operate and can be done with a tender full of water , there being little opportunity or somewhere to water within the polar timings .

two days the 6:30pm has dropped so no Whitlocks I suspect weds and thurs

Thanks for the info. That pretty much confirmed the info I was given when I booked on the 1230 tomorrow. I'm still awaiting final details: VT emailed me yesterday morning to say they were working on these having received the NR timings the evening before.

Stuck behind the Worcester stopper on most runs and it left early on the 2nd run. I'd be amazed if they get up to 50, let alone 75 ! Anyway, looked good with a set of choc & cream directly behind it. A heads up If you're photting it, there's a vibrant VT headboard on display.

Is the loco at the Birmingham end? If so I expect quite a crush on the concourse!
Yes I saw those times, Martin, thanks.

The 13:31 off Dorridge, which pretty much ran to time, was average 27 mph and max 44 mph according to my phone app.

Yes it is, but there was no real overcrowding when I was there - some good stewarding by the VT volunteers and station staff kept things well under control. 47773 is on the other end.

Thanks for sharing. Did you slow for Olton and Tyseley ? as I was told that both had a platform restriction ? I Followed you on traksy and it looked like you'd of caught up with the Worcester train after Solihull anyway. On the third return they worked Scotsman quite hard through Widney, sounded great. I guess if you're sat in the 1st coach directly behind it was Money well spent.

Some very interesting comments about expected speeds, branded headboards, etc on here. I think generally people are missing that there’s a very good reason this is set up like Polar Express, because it’s targeted at families in the majority. So to them speed, headboards, etc aren’t important. It’s the ride behind Scotsman that is. And that could make Vintage a lot of cash, which is important again

We slowed several times and Olton was one of them from memory. The 44 was between Tyseley and Moor Street, up to then it was never out of the 30s, but as you say we were out of the Dorridge loop not long after the stopper went past. It's not the ECML, and we were never going to be "accelerating up to express speeds" (as VT's brochure described it).
Absolutely - there were plenty of family groups about today and all seemed to be having a great time. Certainly no complaints from me, apart from the weather! Hopefully VT will indeed do well out of it (declaring an interest as a CBS shareholder and member of the Friends). I should also mention, the on-train announcement today was that there were still tickets available for this weekend's Shakespeare Express.
