Can anyone confirm that 71000 DoG will be at the SVR Spring Gala next April, or visiting sometime on its own?
I have read it somewhere, though can’t remember where but it was with someone well up in the 71000 owning group stating how they would be raising funds for the next overhaul and to pay for the repaint by LSL, stating they would be visiting preserved Railways for steam galas/one off visits, including the SVR, plus some of the stewards on the ‘Royal Scot’ trip last month saying that it will be at the SVR sometime

Yes I am an active volunteer
At this point im afraid its a figment of your imagination and nothing has been announced by the SVR . It is also an engine that does not fit in what i understood was the planned theme albeit availiability may have caused that to move

No I do not currently volunteer
It was the Trust Chairman in the last issue of Trackside, but the SVR haven't officially announced it as a visitor yet.
