The Stanier mogul is a stunning machine- saw it at the SVR last year, the paintwork is a work of art in itself.

 

Thanks, as a member of the fund I thought I better see it for the first time since its overhaul.

 

For those in the region the whole BBC North West Tonight programme comes live from Bury Bolton Street station on Friday 19 December at 6.30pm - 7.00pm. For those not in the region presume you can get it on a catch up/red button of some description.

Winter diesel day, very well attended, first trains out packed, tended to thin out a little after 2pm. Classes 24, 42,47,50 and dmu's in use. The class 40 croaked it whilst awaiting attachment and was shed back to shed not to reappeared as muted. The day started quite bright, first shower at lunch time, got full grey from mis afternoon and ended in the wet shuff. Excellent day for paraffin can bashers, enjoyed it as usual, good day out supporting our railway with a railrover. Few shots around the stations as a result.
PS - what's up with the website? Really sluggish.

 

I live in hope that one day I'll see the Co-Bo run under its own power.
