Will 4079 be the largest steam loco to have run at Chinnor, or is 6046 slightly larger?

I see there's still one TBA. Perhaps they could go whole hog and bring in the 9F from NYMR. That would probably solve the question about the largest loco.

Good day out yesterday. Sad to hear about 6695, the C&PRR hasn't had the greatest luck with its last couple of steam galas.

There isn't much operational flexibility on this line, so running a single set back and forth, changing the loco at each end, seemed to work well and was pretty much keeping to time by the time I left at 3pm. Joyce providing brake van rides at Princes Risborough provided a bit of extra entertainment.
It was good to see the railway nice and busy, and the volunteers were their usual, always-friendly selves.

I was pleased to see that a new 'viewing area' had been created down the ramp at the country end of Princes Risborough P4, which allowed a bit more room for photos of a loco on the front of a train, previously it was always a bit tight!

Looking forward to more of these events in future.
