That chime and the run up to the tunnel Saturday lunchtime may have stirred a few 'Knights of the Round Table' too!!

Gained a new fan here that's for sure.

An exhausting but brilliant 3 days. Never a dull moment in the timetable, the real issue was where to be and what train to catch. 3 main sets and 3 locals of Big 4 stock was brilliant to experience (thank you C&W) - and the new access coach is a credit to all involved. The high light for me was Bradley Manor's delayed non stop run to Bewdley on GW stock in the very early hours of Saturday. That was in a league of its own. The unscheduled stop by the Stanier at Arley on Sunday morning was much appreciated! A weekend to remember.

My offering from Thursday and Sunday. A terrific effort from all involved!

Society Newsletter stated they would have preferred a move by rail, but it has proved not to be possible on this occasion.

Great shots, thanks. Good to see Hagley Hall on the contemporary GWR set without the bright blue headboard it had on the Friday.

What was wrong with the bright blue headboard on the Thursday? The train was a special service for the launch of Buffet car 9581 and the SVRCT requested a special headboard for that service.

As I said, IMHO, it spoilt the otherwise beautifully recreated reproduction of 20s/30s GWR express train. It didn't inform about the restored buffet car.

For the one trip it was one I think it was well worth it. The trust had put a lot in to the coach, as had members of the KRCW team who made the headboard. So I think sometimes we must put aside the look, and go for the meaning. 4930 ran with the same set in the afternoon without that headboard on the 9 coaches.
