Thanks for the regular updates. Most appreciated. Was hoping for 76017 on Monday (as I have other commitments tomorrow and Sunday) but never mind. Patience is the name of the game!

As someone who alledgedly restores British Leyland "Sports" Cars I would have thought that Pacers were right up your street.

May toddle down on Saturday if I’m not required for domestic duties. Is the B set the vintage rake?

Rover "sports" cars, please, Paul. Leyland stuff is too expensive to buy! :)

Thanks for the reply that I’ll be stuck at home today after all. “If you’re not going anywhere tomorrow perhaps we could do lunch together“. This translates as “I’m not going anywhere and will be doing lunch”.

@Fireline don’t suppose you’re able to let me know which set is steam and which diesel today?

If I've read it right, both should be steam!

Today should be 76017 on the A set, and the DMU on the B set, if all goes to plan.

Went on Thursday 28th with my two youngest, Domestic Facilities Management (DFM) and a friend.

DFM rather likes the K&ESR and it was nice to point out to my youngest the replica Ford railbus at Tenterden, my father recalled riding on one 'round Pagham Harbour' ie on the Hundred of Manhood and Selsey Bill tramroad. Perhaps when the line reopens to Robertsbridge it will find a new role connecting Tenterden to the outside world!

On arrival at Bodiam we headed to the Castle which was an interesting visit.

Middle son (16) had a great time discussing Armour with some reenactors at the Castle while I made the fatal mistake of pointing out a chainmail coif to youngest in the castle Gift Shop.

My wallet ended up lighter and my bag much heavier as we walked back to the station!

This week we are running on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the intention that the service engines will be Swiftsure and Hastings.

Right. The plan for the next couple of days, subject to availability, is that it will be 76017 and Hastings operating the service. Swiftsure is on washout, and 68032 is still on acceptance trials.

The next few days look pretty mixed. Tomorrow looks to be 76017 on the A set, with Hastings and the Class 14 on the B set. Sunday is 20087 and the DMU, with 76017 on the Sunday lunch train. Tuesday and Wednesday are planned to be 76017 and Hastings.

Ok, IF I've read this right, this weekend is definitely one of two halves. Saturday looks like 76017, and a possible first appearance for 68032. Sunday is the Class 20 and DMU, with 68032 slated to be on the lunch train.
