Not really. No 1 is "I know but choose not to tell you" while No 3 is " I know but I am prevented from telling you". (No 4 would presumably be "I know nothing" in a dubious Spanish accent....) Free choice VV constraint. Not that it matters to the forum, as the result is the same...... J

 

There is also, of course, No. 5: "I know nothing, but I'll tell you my version anyway!" Which has appeared many times in this thread, and on various other platforms!

 

No 6. Nothing has happened yet, but I this is what I think it might be eventually...

No 7A - just keep taking the tablets, something will come to pass eventually

Actually 2 both pending for way over 18 months now, everything just seems to be so damned slow on the legal side of things

 

I'd suggest reading the last two Trackbed Trails and you can probably work out what is happening. There is one section which is waiting for probate to complete as one of the vendors died, another bit where EA and the vendor were still trying to work out a price, and the Collard Bridge scout campsite where they are still working through the details.

It's Devon. In my experience everything is slow. It's the Cornish Dreckly influence creeping over the border.

 

It could even be the 'Devon' Dreckly influence but its best not to go down that rabbit-hole lol

 

Sorry to go completely off-piste (okay, so it's not for the first time!) , but I'm not from these parts...

What does 'dreckly' mean? Is dreckle in some way related to Grockle and/or Emmet?

It's similar to "mañana" but without the same sense of terrible urgency.

 

Dreckly - At some point in the future; soon, but not immediately. Example: ”I’ll do it dreckly!”

 

A favourite word used by all true Cornishmen meaning :At some point in the future; soon, but not immediately. Example: ”I’ll do it dreckly!” Meaning he will do it sometime. Perhaps. Then again , perhaps not, it depends…..

It's actually a concept I fully understand and endorse, even from my part of the world!

Judging by these comments and a quick Google search the origins of 'dreckly' could be Cornish or Devonian, that could cause a big argument just by itself, I can recall my grandparents using the word and other members of their families, all from North Devon so perhaps its North Devon/ North Cornwall dialect but for safety sake 'west country '

 

I once did a project in Liskeard which took up the best part of a year of my life. I’d never heard of dreckly before then but soon came to realise it was usually included in the answers to most of the questions I asked that required a time critical answer.
